Monitoring of murder of a child in the name of child sacrifice

“International Youth Day 2015: Youth Civic Engagement” being Marked

At Kathmandu, JCYCN in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sport organized and interaction program in “Youth Vision 2025: Youth participation in rebuilding post earthquake in Nepal” on 11th August, 2015 to mark IYD 2015. Chief Guest for the program included Mr. Purusottam Paudel, Minister for Youth and Sports, the Government of Nepal. Other guests included Mr. Yogandra Shahi Task force coordinator Youth vision 2025, Pradip Paudel, Ms Rachana Khadka Central committee member UML youth leader Ghanashyam Panday JCYCN has coordinated with the following organizations for the program UNOY Netherland, IPYG South Korea, YES Nepal, Green foundation Nepal, Dynamic Youth Forum (DYF), ARF Nepal, YUVA Mauritius, RPYC, Yuwalaya, CMDRR Forum, ESDO Nepal, and Rupantaran Nepal.


Suggestion and Recommendation handed over to the CA Member

A draft constitution has released in 2015 in Nepal after 8 years of political stagnation and deadlock, despite some regional political parties form Madesh had tore down the draft constitution. Additionally some of the female leaders and activists were not supporting the constitution totally as it has included contradictory means for citizenship. “Constitution can’t incorporate views of each and every political party because constitution is a document of compromise,” CA Chairman Subas Nembang said while receiving the draft from CDC Chair Krishna Prasad Sitaula.


Child Protection and Psychological Awareness for Children Post Earthquake

Programs on children protection and psychological awareness for children post earthquake have been organized in various parts of the country along with the distribution of education materials. Jagriti Child and Youth Concern Nepal, organized the program with the financial assistance of The Garden of Hope Foundation, Taiwan and in coordination with ESDO Nepal, Group of Active Social Workers, Nawalparasi, Devchuli Municipality, Sunuwal Municipality, National Child clubs Networks, and Youth for Change, Pragatinagar Community Library. Various programs were organized at various 10 different schools of Nawalparasi district and Kathmandu.


Training on Capacity Building of Children and Youths in Environment Protection, Climate Change and Disaster Risk Reduction

A seven days long training and campaign on capacity building of children and youths on Climate Change, Environment Conservation, Disaster Risk Reduction and Sustainable Development and “The Plastic Free Campaign” was successfully held at Nawalparasi from 16th of June to 22nd of June 2015.  The training and campaign was jointly organized by JCYCN and Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) Nepal in coordination with District Development Committee, Devchuli Municipality, District Sport Development Committee, Pragatinagar Community Library, Youth for Change, Yuvalaya and Jagriti Child Club, in a support of Government of Nepal of Youth and Sports Ministry.


National Level sharing program on Nepal Partnership for Children and youth in Peace-building

Nepal Partnership for Children and Youth in Peace-building organized National Level Sharing Program on Jun 29, 2015 at the Royal Banquet, Tinkune. The main objective of the program was to launch the country report, disseminate the findings and, recommendation of the participatory evaluation on Child and Youth Role in Peace building conducted in Doti, Rolpa, Nawalparasi, and Mohattari districts from January to March 2015. It is a part of global campaign called a Global Partnership for Children and Youth in Peace building being organized simultaneously in DR Congo, Nepal and Colombia. (more…)
